I have an 02 400ex and I would like to upgrade the rear grab bar to something more functional and stylish but the OEM grab bar is an extension of the subframe. I have seen aftermarket grab bars that attach to the subframe with U bolts but I'm wondering if that would be a sturdy set up. Has anyone ever used one of these http://www.ebay.com/itm/Honda-TRX400...d14768&vxp=mtr or if anyone could recommend a good grab bar.

I have a 400ex also. Can't believe Honda designed the grab bar as part of the sub frame.

HRE makes aftermarket subframes for the 400ex that uses a normal bolt on grab bar.
