I've had a few KE's, these bikes didn't change a whole bunch from the 70s models to the last model in the 2000s, and they all have points.

Check for spark, and check the carb. The carbs on them are under the right side engine cover(rotary valve 2 stroke), and are bad to get debris inside the cover from the opening at the bottom.

I gave away a bunch of KE parts a couple weeks ago, I had carbs, engines, cases. everything. If you can figure it out and need something I'll look to see if I still have anything.

Take the left side cover off and inspect the flywheel and the stator and points underneath. On both bikes there was water and other debris in there. Clean as much as you can. I actually had luck spraying the electrical with WD-40 pretty heavily.

Turn the key, and kill switch to the "ON" position... (done that a few times myself) Then look at grounds, coil, battery, ect...
No trikes. Too old, too crippled. Unless I find one I can't live without!
