Got my axle back last week from Coating Technologies Inc. Had it NP3 coated. Electroless Nickel Teflon (PTFE). This finish is commonly used as a high-end finish on firearms and aerospace parts. I figured since this is the 'Charizard' of axles for the 86 200x, why not give it special treatment.
The bike should be going back together in the next few weeks. Everything else is back from powder. Will start a build thread when it starts going together.

Wow, that came out very nice!
I have only seen 3 or 4 of these. I grabbed one when I had an opportunity to go with the crate motor. I do need a sprocket hub and I'm unsure of my options there.....

Thanks Dirtcrasher. That clip holding on the sprocket hub was a ba*tard to get off! It is 3x as thick as the stock one on the brake side. I can get you measurements on the width of the sprocket hub if you need it. It is aluminum. I had it blasted because it was a mess. Turned out good. I'm gonna need to coat it. I think Durablue makes a hub for their new Honda axles that may work for yours. The width looks similar.

^ I was poking around durablue and it looked like the sprocket hub alone was about 170$
But, we all know the deal by now; If you want to play you've got to pay!
If it didn't have splines I'd make the damn thing. I do have a rotary table, maybe I could make a broach; Probably easier to buy though
