I'm starting to lose my temper with my 185s

I had my 185s running. It wasn't running all too well, but it was running. So I was thinking back to when I was putting it back together and I realized I had never checked the float height when I put a rebuild kit in the carb. So I slipped the carb off and checked the float and it was accurate.

I decided to check the timing again. This time I set it to the line right to the left of the F instead of centered on the F. Which way is it supposed to be? I put everything back together and started it up. I had it choked all the way and rolled it over to the door of the shop. I went to open the door and when I did the 185s died on me. No problem, I thought. I started pulling on it but it would not start. I kept pulling and pulling, took a break and started pulling again but it would not start. So I decided to check the spark and discoverd that it had no spark at all! I put in a different plug but it had the same result.

This 3-wheeler wants to run but it just keeps teasing me!!! :evil: :evil:

I guess I'll start checking continuity through the spark plug wire and cap. Check the timing again. Check continuity through wires from stator to ignition coil, and other things.

man, first, go from the stator with continuty, if it lights up, then check the cpark plug boot (where spark plug goes in) and if it doesnt, check your coil, make sure its grounded (by being tightened all the way) and also if you do get it running again, open the door first! then you can let it sit there while you rev it and such

Trust me man, we have all had our share of problems like this
