Some times a bit less grip is better.

only the one on the near side in the picture is backward. obviously the guy who mounted it wasnt payin attention to the rim when he was mountin a DIRECTIONAL tire
so when i mount the rim on the right way, the tires backward. i didnt notice any difference in traction tho since only the left one is backward

yea same thing on my dads big red. but since his rims have no offset we just flipped that one side so the valve stem is on the inside

i think the guy didnt realize they were offset when he mounted it. if i turn it the right way, the right side sticks out further than the left, cause of the offset. so i think ill run em like this for a bit, then swap sides. maybe this will even out the wear? like rotatin tires on a car

Yeah, what's the deal on running the undriven front tire 'backwards'?
big debate that the tread bites better in the direction of resistance or some such physics
    philosophy.

    I'd change the oil.
Any chance gas drooled into the crankcase and diluted your oil?

I've had it happen on 2 trikes.
One had a bad shut off and the other was gas left on and it ALL leaked into the oil.

well, i figured out awhile back that the bolt thats bein used as a drain plug ISNT a drain plug. so it drips out slowly while i ride. got the new drain bolt in the mail, but lost it so when i put oil in it before i rode it thursday, i smelt the oil. it smelt fine. i need to change it anyway. it wasnt changed regularly when the guy had it before me. he had it for over a year and only changed the oil once
