Well, you won't be the only one in a tent... I thought of making my hauler into a camper too... but camping is part of the fun.
All I suggest is that you get a blow up mattress or cot.
Planning your meals is a big thing too... foods that can be dry stored, cans and bottled water is the way to go.
I am trying out a coolertron which I will have to plug in for an hour on my deep cycle batteries or truck and a small bbq.

    That's a nice trailer Ditch!

I spent the entire weekend working on my truck and trailer by myself. Still have plenty of work to do this week! This will be the first time my truck camper has been on the flatbed so fingers crossed!

I tent camped for 8 previous Trikefests. I've been in severe storms with heavy winds and rain. I have also been in extremely hot conditions. I guess I have paid my dues lol!

I throw an air mattress down on the floor of the enclosed trailer. After I had to tank down a tent in a thunderstorm with a broken wrist in 2011. I won't pitch another one.

We picked up this trailer real cheap from a local craigslist ad about a month ago. We were told it used to be a regular camping trailer, and then was used for ATVs, etc. We bought it cheap and have re-done the wiring & lights, primed & painted it, all new deck, new tires, sandblasted/primed/painted the wheels, new break-away safety box, new chains, eye-bolts for tie-down straps. We think the trailer is from the 80s.

Basically a whole new trailer for a lot less than you could buy one new, and designed to fit our needs. We have test-fit it and will be bringing 9 trikes on it to TF2014. See you all wednesday evening!
