Thread: Need Parts for a Yamaha 200 trike.. Have Honda Parts to trade or Cash money..

    Need Parts for a Yamaha 200 trike.. Have Honda Parts to trade or Cash money..

    I just picked up a Golf cart that has a Yamaha 200 ERN motor in it. The guy did some welding on it and fried the CDI box and some wires.. Well i ordered the Wires today but am in need of a CDI box that isnt gonna cost an arm and leg.. The numbers on the side of the CDI box are 24W-20 and under that is 4929..I have Honda 200s Parts that i could trade or i am willing to pay cash money..


    Any Info on where to find one at a good price or if ya got one that would be a big help..

    ebay would be a good place to check or cheap cycle parts or bike bandit
    what parts do you have for the 200s

    Is the motor a 1984 or 1985?

    Does the motor have reverse?

    Do you mean the Yamaha? If so i have no clue on year It is Electric start with pull rope back up and it has reverse and it is shaft driven..

    Checked Ebay already and the ones i have found on there they want around half of what i paid for the cart which is more then i want to spend at this moment..

    I have everything but plastics and gas tank.. The motor is blown up I bought it for some parts for my Other 200s

    If it's a 200cc shaft drive then:
    84 = No reverse
    85 = Has reverse

    So I am going to assume you have a 85 200ern motor. Probably have everything you need to get it going, but I'm not sure if I want to part the machine out.

    Yea what i know about it that is what it is.. The guy i got it from told me it was a 200 and thought it was an ern but wasn't 100% sure.. He told me that all of the cdi's were interchangeable well i found out today while trying to find the parts that they wasn't.. If you decide to part it out let me know i know i need the CDI for sure If the price is right..I already ordered a wire harness today.. I may need the coil and the rest of the electronics not 100% sure yet as the only wires that were melted was around the cdi so i hope he caught it before it messed everything else up..

    Trying to get it running as soon as possible..

    i have two cdi boxs but they came from wheelers that didnt have reverse will that work or no?
