Does a 125cc Lifan use the same crank case as the 140cc Lifan?

yes. the top end is different as the head is slightly wider than the 125 standard. bo that's head and jug bolt pattern. but the mountings are exactly the same. (my son races cheinse ATVs and we sue a lot of different parts form different places. )

Great good to know. I have a 125 parts motor on the way to replace my busted right side case on my 140.

jsut make sure the stud spacing is the same as your 140 thei will be further spread apart as well as rither away from center. just a tiny bit.

I just went ahead and ordered a new right side case and gasket kit for the 140. I think Ill put the 125 back together for something else. The guy said it threw the drive chain and busted the left case. Ill buy a case for it later it is a back burner project for later.
