hey guys im just about done putting this 86z together, but im stuck and was wondering if anyone would post,link me or send me some pics of where the cdi,volt reg,yadayada all get routed. also would be helpful if i had a couple of the throttle cable. thanks.....johnny

first let me explain the wiring is plug and play preschool stuff im just looking for the routs and strapping points. ive got a detailed oem yamaha service and repair manual but the pic's are terrible and i cant make heads or tails out of the wording this over this around that and back through. im not an idiot but it makes my freaking head hurt. if tbut i aphe pic's were in color id be good but the diagrams in the back dont help me much. i was just hoping someone would pull their air box and rear fender take a couple pics for me. but i do appreciate everyones replys/help...johnny

Sorry I dont have any detailed pics, but I can maybe get your started with a description.
The CDI mounts on the frame tab between the upper radiators.
The regulator is bolted on the right side of the neck just under the right front shroud and the wire should point to the radiators.
The harness headlight/on off switch sub harness wraps around the I believe the left front neck area to the lights. It could go either side. Whatever is the cleanest.
The stator harness gets routed up throught the upper motor mounts. All connections can be made at the top center frame tube under the airbox.
The taillight harness will be routed down the left upper subframe rail to the tailiight.
Once you lay it out that way it should be pretty cut and dry.
