    Is it true ?

Do the rear hubs from an 86-87 200x make the 83-85 200x +2'' wider ?

You heard correctly. The difference in the off set of the hubs do make a difference. I have a set of 300ex hubs that are the same ( not for sale at this time, lol ).

they sure do, plus they are the same ones used on the 250x/300ex quads, so I don't think Honda will be discontinuing THOSE anytime soon..

Thats interesting, but since your using the '86 hub do you need to use the '86 lug nuts? I know the 83/5 lug nuts don't taper like the '86's in the picture. Or can you put '83/5 nuts onto a '86 hub?

If you use the 83-85 200x rims then you can use either nuts. f you use the 86-87 200x rims ( same bolting style as 85-86 250r's, 350x's, and a lot of later quads ) then you need to use the tappered nuts.

So those hubs will fit most any Honda quad/trike correct? If so then they will make most any honda quad/trike wider right? (except the 250x/300ex oubisly).

Ok, let me clear some things up here. I think I confused a few people.

The hubs will fit a lot of machines, but they won't fit all machines.
    The hubs Do not fit on the 250es /sx, & 350x axles, I am 99% sure they won't work on a 85-86 250r either.

I do know the hubs will fit on the axles of these machines below. You will need rims that fit the hubs though. Note: To use the hubs on any of the machines below you must use a rim that has a 4/110mm bolt pattern.

All years of these Honda models below:
    ATC110's
    ATC125m's
    ATC185, 185s
    ATC 200, 200e, 200es, 200m, 200s, 200x,

The hubs do fit on other makes also. Some Yamaha & some Kawasaki. I do not know for sure what all models though. Sorry.

In my posting above I should have been a little more clear. So let me explain quickly. The 85-86 250r and the 350x rims will fit the 86-87 200x hubs. But the 200x hubs DO NOT fit the 85-86 250r or 350x OEM axles.

    Thanks
