    What's an airbox?

the air box is a box where the Air Filter sits in.

Funny story--Back in the 80's a friend of mine had an '87 Suzuki 230E. That's the auto trans version of the Quad Sport. He tried to take it across water that turned out to be 4 or 5 feet deep. It sucked water of course and had to be towed out. Well he got it back to the pavement and, towing it behind another machine, he popped the auto clutch at speed. At first it slid the wheels and then it turned over and it looked like a fire hose coming out the tail pipe! Water must have been going 10 feet before it hit the ground. That' is REALLY the wrong way to get the water out but it worked. He's just really lucky the rod wasn't bent.

    water crossing

When I was riding in the UP with a bunch of golf carts we crossed a river and I couldn't be out done so I crossed. I had to work the clutch and gas, but I went through no problem. I was sitting on the seat and the water was up into the headlight. Amazing thing is at the end of the day I had no water in my oil.
