i put a trx silencer up against the 85 im rebuilding a few weeks ago its pretty close looked like it just needed a spacer on the mounts . The bend looked close to the same. I used a fmf silencer im not sure how stock would work.

I'm using a Klemm Research trx250r silencer on my 86 atc250r.. It doesn't fit perfect but it fits

I ran one on my wifes ATC for about 6 months. Just run a longer bolt in the back and some shims..This actually is better in the sense, that if you bottom out your shock on a jump, it is spaced far enough over that the brake caliper won't dent the silencer.
Here is where my long useless list of stuff nobody cares about should go...

What Mosh said, they do look the same just a little different bend in the pipe. I cut a 1.5" spacer from stainless tubing and just used a longer bolt. It looks custom! LOL.
