    Oversized 250R shrouds?

Did Maier ever make 3rd gen 250R super scoops? Found some on ebay listed as "oversize". Look like regular scoops to me. What's the scoop?

Nothing oversize about them, just regular old run o' the mill Maier shrouds.

That's what I thought, did they ever make a "super scoop" for the R?

I can't say they never made a "super scoop" for the 85-86 250R, but I know I've never seen one.

Those are just typical Maier stockish replacements in that link.

Maier did not make a super scoop shroud. However UFO did back in the day and they were more than likely distributed by CT racing.

They made an extended shroud for the short track tank and one for the stock tank. I saw the stock extended versions first hand a few weeks ago.

There was just a discussion about them.

Thanks Mosh! It would be cool of someone would reproduce the UFO shrouds. What did they look like? I'd love to see some pics! I would look at all my old magazines but my mom threw them out in the 90's!!!
