    84 200s Brake help

I have 2 honda 200s's that need brakes. I've redone the shoes in the past but that lasted a few stops then the pads seems to be worn beyond adjustment. There is a small ridge on the drum indicating some wear but other than a bit rusty is looks ok. I am trying to figure out an economical way to get brakes back on these 2 machines.

    Thanks in advance.

My Honda 200 is the same. Just replaced the whole rear end because some yahoo welded the hubs on and couldn't get the drum off. All my parts are there now, but still no brakes.

take the lever off the spline and turn it so you can wear them down to metal

Tried adjusting the lever but the cam ends up jamming vertical. Maybe I just need a new drum because its too worn? Can these be found new?

If i have to find a used drum I would like to look into the possibility of building some disc brake system. Parts are hard to come by in my area.
