appears to be for the t4. I wouldn't work with an airbox on a t3,I bet it's not cheap either

    Looks pretty serious !

yes, I would say he is putting a whole lotta love into those ! Very nice looking part indeed.
I made a mold of a nice T-4 intake about 3 years ago and pulled quite a few from that mold. At least that's what I was told it was for. I advertised them as such after getting the fella his oem one back along with a reproduction and sold a rather sizable # of them for 60 dollars shipped.

Since I am not a quad type of guy, I never did understand what the idea was about those fins sticking down in the reed cage area ~ anybody know what those fin things are about ?

They are called reed stuffers, and they actually increase air velocity through the reed cage and reeds.

He says its for the T-3 . Its a 1/2 inch longer than oem.And it will work with the stock airbox. He had a guy test it. When I get more info I will post it.

That is not only a K-wad thing. Some other trikes use those diverter fins also to increase velocity to the reeds.
Here is where my long useless list of stuff nobody cares about should go...

just give me a shout ben if you end up having to replace yours. This one is the last I have and is just sitting in the display cabinet for my own amusement.
Now my other Kawasaki intake boot molds for 84/85 + 86+87 are still kicking parts out to build stock.
