    2002 yamaha blaster mods

So of course I am a trike guy but my friend had this blaster and needed some cash so I figured what the hell and bought it, and it is a fun little machine with lots of speed. So my question to you quad guys is what modifications can I do to this thing engine wise and cosmetically? I am thinking about tearing it down to blast and powder it so I figure while I am at it I might as well do some other stuff. Is there some other hubs that I can throw on to widen the stance in the back? any info about cool stuff you can do would be appreciated so lets hear them

I'm gonna fire up controversy here but I personally would block off oil injection before I did any other mod. I've owned a blaster that never gave me any problems untill oil injection failed. My friends failed and his was only two years old. So of course that resulted in new top end. Has far as the rear end goes I would find aftermarket axle. They come buy pretty cheap on
    eBay. Fun quads though!

Rocky mountain atv has extended hubs that work pretty good but a stock banshee axle will widen it up and most likely be cheaper. They respond to a good aftermarket pipe like a toomey, fmf, power pros or pro circuit. To widen the front end you can use wheel spacers, extended a arms or a widening kit from Diamond J. Some guys use a 400ex rear shock with a little modding. There are some big bore kits out there to make it into a 240cc. With some porting and a good pipe these can be pretty fast for no bigger than they are!

there is a blaster forum out there i can't think of the name now but it has everything you can do to them on there, it's been a long time since i was there. I remember that the suspension is probably the biggest complaint, a lot of what was said above is on there.
