The Beginning of the ATC: New Article that is a MUST READ for anyone who digs ATC's

The latest issue of Mitch Boehm's Moto Retro is out, and included is one of the most amazing articles on the Honda ATC, and how the whole thing started way back in 1969 or whenever it was.

Do yourself a favor, get this magazine.

It is 12 pages of ATC history with some amazing photos, and a cameo from "Vintage" Mike Palmgren, owner of Vintage Motorsports, and about the only man on the face of the earth to (re)build bikes for Honda of Japan.

The story covers how Honda came up with the idea, and how it was launched, and the early years of the ATC. It is a really good read.

I know Mike is sometimes on this site, so maybe he will chime in and add some details about the story. But is very cool and very well worth having in your collection.

He used one of my restorations and had it profesionally shot in georgia with some incredible photos . you need to read this story he has alot of contacts in the industry and got some real inside details pertaining to the development of the US90 and how typical goverment BS shut our loved 3 wheelers down forever. check it out !!

IT wasn't the .gov that killed the ATC...It was parents not being parents. And idiotic riders. "Hey Cletuss, watch me take this vehicle with no suspension over this 5 foot jump with no helmet!"

Same thing with the Danforth bill that killed 2 stroke street bikes.....nothing dangerous about them, just unforgiving to novice riders. Enough novice riders splatter themselves on a canyon wall, well, "THINK OF THE CHILDREN!!!!"
