That *might* have been the bike ridden by Robin and Denise Davis, as well as Chris "fudge" Haines. If that is the bike, then it won its class back then in '86 or 87. But I dont recall the bike having a red 350x looking front end. But who knows. The win was covered by Motonews at the time and the bike did get a few seconds of TV time, so maybe someone looking at old youtube clips of motoworld might be able to see more info and prove its accuracy..

It was on cl around my area for 1000 for a few months, then it disappeared and reappeared a week later for 1500 on cl and on ebay. Other than the dual spark plug head and curtis Sparks work on the engine(if any other than the head) there isn't anything special about it.

^^ Agreed,,at best. I spoke to the owner yesterday. He says he owns a bike shop.. Has NO clue what piston,compression,etc,, it is. Runs on pump gas,,93. Just a rough lookin piece to me. If I get time today I'm gonna rattle Curtis' chain about it. It's another one I have no knowledge of... We were all homebuilt,,TC Racing and Powroll out here...

Anyone here nab this? Very sad state of affairs... A 87,,WITH , a very rare bullet barely breaks a thousand bucks on a worldwide stage. I never had a second to call Sparks,,does anyone else know facts on this engine? I thought TC was the only 2 plugger around.

I do not think it made the reserve, I had 1,025 on it but forgot to bid once again towards the end. Really didn't need it though. I did just pick up an 86 rough beater yesterday that smokes like crazy.
