    Quick 250r refresh for trikefest

Well I'm a glutton for punishment, not long now till trikefest, and I've needed to swap my good take out engine into my 250r as I smoked a topend and haven't had time to get it rebuilt.

I'm a glutton for punishment so i took it down to the bare frame and started doing some restoration. Should look real nice to get all dirty and tore up at Haspin. lol

Didn't get a before picture but trust me it was looking kinda gank.

scrubbed up good, cleaned with degreeser and shot it with some rustoleum. Wish i had time and funds for powdercoat but its just not in the cards this go around. Maybe next time.

Lots of parts have been cleaned, starting to put some stuff back on. New vinyl hose for the overflow! woot!

Lots of work to do, not a lot of time. Why do I do this to myself again? Thank goodness I got a take out engine or it would never be ready in time.

Little more tonight. Pics don't show the other parts that I got cleaned and painted, nor the fact that i had to tear another bike apart to get that rear shock. Hopefully back on three wheels tomorrow depending on how my work day goes.

I got my motion pro cable today, looks like it takes care of my missing peice, oh well I'll use the pj i bought somewhere else and I needed the throttle for the 500 anyway.

I gotta get this thing wrapped up! I need to get the front end back together on the 500 but I told myself I wouldn't tear into anything else until the 250r is ready to put on the truck.

Other bad stroke of luck is that after I got the front end all tightened down I found out the bearings in the front hub I'm using majorly need replaced! ugg! Gotta get an allballs kit STAT!

Ugg I need to sleep, really didn't get much done. Hopefully I'll be checking jetting tomorrow.

Some eyes may notice this bike is pretty much getting put together stock except for 3 things. Any guesses? A hint, I actually have these stock parts but they're getting more costly to replace so I've got them safe on the shelf.

Grab bar is not one of them, nor the handle bars/grips or the fenders.

Well got it all together today and took it for a ride. Jetting is way rich, bars need some adjusting, front wheel bearings are in the mail, otherwise a good days work!

Yeah, the tires were what I was referring too but honestly that whole statement can be thrown out the window at this point. Too many not stock pieces. BUT DANG IT! I can at least say I made sure on stock Honda hardware was used!
