Ruff means parts...plastic is tuff to round up in mint condition but I can't testifie to the rest of the machine. Rare machine? Yes and no; not many were made and not alot survived in great condition...however the collectable side of them is small. Unless you have all the rare ones and you need to have just one Suzuki in the stable. Fun trikes, they were very durable and apeal to more trail, entry, yard trike buyers.
one for sale by me for 300, an 83. dont see to many alt's, but i know nothing about them from a value or collectibility standpoint.

A guy in phoenixville pa is selling a nice one for $450. Has racks.
I believe it was atcTim who done some kinda thesis/write up on the ban/extinction of three wheeler, largely due,,, to the Suzuki alt trikes
Having owned one (and I know proper tire inflation/handling requirements) they SUCKED butt in the handling department ~ keep wanting to snap back straight as my brothers grandson vid will show.
Corey Sprocks unborn child won that one the one in vid (sorry Corey! ). I won't own one again, for very long at least

I had an ALT-185 and loathed the thing. The recoils are incredibly cheaply made and are prone to having issues, the fuel primers are bad to leak, there's no suspension, but there IS reverse so that's a plus. Extremely unstable though, even for a trike. I could stand on the tips of the solid footpegs, shift my weight a bit side to side, and it almost flip. I'm 146# and it didn't take much to throw it seriously off balance.
This is my trike. There are many like it but this one is mine. My trike is my best friend, and it is my life. I must master it as I must master myself. My trike without me is useless. Without my trike, I am useless. I must ride my trike true. My trike and I know that what counts is not the amount of miles we ride, but the time we ride together. My trike is human in it's own ways, therefore I will learn it as my brother. I will learn it's weaknesses, it's strengths, it's parts, and it's soul.
It is my # 1 wheelie machine. Top heavy and slow....what more could a dude ask for for wheelies????? Keeps me in wheelie shape. I just had a 20 minute wheelie round with my 125!!! Loved it.... Felt like Evil!!!
