25" front 23" rears clear just about everything on the trail. 20" tall rears are a twenner while they clear alot, they can still be effect while sliding the trike.
Agreed 18" are kinda small, but personally I'd go with 20, maybe 22"..you don't want to rob that animal of it's hill climbing torque!!
As important is what kinda soil in the hills where you are..a soft loose sand and you'll want something different in the tread than if it was clay or stone filled earth.
You likely have some of our great Canadian shield around you..all that granite is challenging to climb. Especially if wet!

Current toys..
1986 Honda 350X..trail bomb!
1985 Honda 250SX..my main mudder
1985 Honda 250ES..Back in Black Trike
Current non-trike toys:
1990 Honda TRX300FW
1995 Seadoo GTX
1998 Polaris Indy Lite 340(Nearly new looking)
1998 Polaris Touring 500
1998 Club Car (electric)
If you are serious about woods hill climbing on a TriZ this is the setup: 25: front (Trail Wolf on this one) and 22" All Trax on the rear with 12/48 gearing on your 85, or you can go a little higher gearing with an 86 though it works fine there too.

Here's something no one mentioned. My 400ex has 21's on the rear.
