Need Help with 2003 blaster

I cant get this POS blaster to rev up for nothing
New stator and flywheel gave me a nice spark again , rebuilt the carb , new namura piston kit with 120lbs of compression now .
Not to keen on the blasters so if somone could give me a few pointers that would be great .
I played with the TORS system and dont think its that ?

It runs kinda like a trizinger when its in the start mode like the timing just wont advance for some reason .

Does it have a parking brake sensor? If they go out it wont let it rev right.

I agree with hippyplz Mike, its your parking break sensor. just pull the parking break arm back (away from the bike) and you should be fine

Their is a parking break sensor switch but I didnt test it . I did play with it while it idles but it does nothing . Going to test it now . Thanks

Parking switch is testing ok and I have it pulled back . I pulled it out and tried depressing it manually and no difference . This will idle all day long just cant get it to rev . Their is no brake light set up (wires all pulled out ) does it need this to complete a circuit to rev properly ?

hmmm, I really thought it would be the parking brake limiter....it happens all the time with these blasters. Only other thing I can think of is the carb is clogged somewhere, but you said you just rebuilt it. I assume plug is wet?

Yes the carb is rebuilt and not a fuel issue .

I would wire around the tors and brake. My moneys on it revving to the moon then. I wouldn't normally post this, but it's you,So we know the carb is clean,the reeds are right etc... gotta be some of that electrical garbage that the lawyers put on there.

I'm pretty sure its an electrical issue as well but this is a 03 model were all the safety functions runs threw the large CDI box so I have no clue how to test the safety switches besides ohm testing them and they all test ok . I did try another CDI box and it makes no difference .

How pickey are these bikes with the reeds ? In my experance bad reeds dont act the way this bike is running ? They prob should be replaced because they dont sit perfectly flush with the cage but their are no chips or cracks . I did reverse the reeds so they would sit flush thats why I ruled out the reeds .

Last one thru here,,98? I think,was running till it blew on literally 30%?? of the reeds missing. As you know,,it should be starting hard for reeds. It could be the pick up,,they went bad all the time on older models. but again,,I haven't been in the newer disc brake models. I feel your pain!! You WANNA figure it out,,,can't really charge the customer the DAY it takes on here,and in the shop for all your labor. Only HE wins! lol,, I say it's gonna be electrical. edit,,I f you've replaced the CDI w the same results, I am now 99% it HAS to be lawyer switches..

The stator setup came with a new pickup . I'm guessin the switches as well and yes I will be loosing $ on this bike for sure .
The bike idles and starts fine thats another reason I ruled out reeds .

Parking brake switch !!!! What a POS design And man was I glad the day that bike left . BTW the bike only came in with JUST NEEDING THE CARB CLEANED !!!!! 50psi on compression and no spark !!!!!!!!!!!!!!! cleaning the carb for some reason didnt make it run LOL.
