Anyone here buy a new Honda ATC back in the day with a good memory...

Okay, so I was missing the headlight assembly for my 350X and I was able to purchase it from the original owner. (he took parts off to sell but couldnt get what he thought he would) Nice piece, no cracks or gouges. Anyway, the question I have is, it has one of those old school labels on it, you know the ones where you turn the wheel then squeeze the trigger and it presses the letter or number int the tape. He has said it was on the bike when it was bought new...some sort of dealer sorting / inventory tracking thing maybe???? I dont really care to keep it on there but, if its something original to the trike I'm thinking maybe I should. You know how when some people restore a classic car the go back and add in the chalk marks on the frame and fire wall etc...

Just curious if anyone remembers seeing these on bikes at the dealer... maybe it was just a local dealer thing??? maybe it was some kid playing with a label maker... I dunno???

Sounds like something the dealer came up with to keep track of his inventory. Definitely not factory.

Hard telling about the tag. Per your post. My main memory was,we bought Most,,not all,, of our machines thru Honda of Wellsboro. Also,Yamaha,Suzuki later on. The owner was a Raffa sized Yamaha fan! I had little time for most of that. but he used,Exclusively Yamaha wax. It smelled SOOOOO good ! I can still smell it today and have a bottle tucked away to whiff it once in awhile!
Please help those who cannot help themselves.

ALWAYS buying Museum quality machines,3 and 4 wheels. And any and ALL ,NOS parts,EVERY brand.

I am turning my PM's Off,my Email is billsracing@hotmail.com,put 3WW in the subject. Thanx!
