    Big Red

    i have a 1985 honda 250es big red that im wanting to restore/bring the life back it it. Im looking for some plastics for it, anyone know the cheapest place to get some?

    Do you mean cheapest or cheapest original?

    ebay for a set of replacement plastic is cheapest and it will fit pretty well..

    doesn't look the nicest though..I just bought this 250ES from a guy that replaced all the original not so great plastic thinking he was increasing the value for resale. then is sat on CL for about 2 months until I swooped in and stole it from him..he lost his shirt!! He should've sold it original..he would've made more!

    I got a pretty decent farm Big Red..not great to look at but it was cheap!! That is your best bet..should set you back a few hundred if you do it all..

    Nothing wrong with the Maier plastics... (IMO the plastic tanks suck) zmperformance.com is where I got mine... (cheapest price I found at the time) Its wearing Maier front, rear and trunk lid...

    I agree also, i have seen many of them with new Maier plastics on them, but they look like crap with the plastic tank. Keep the metal tank it looks so much better.

    Thanks guys. Mine already has a plastic tank on it. I agree the metal does look better but dont like the rust problem so i think ill stick with a plastic tank.
