Spark issues on my Kawasaki tecate

    Hi.
I have replaced my stator, coil, and flywheel and still only a weak spark .
I was kick starting it with my hand (with spark plug out) I leaned on the frame and got shocked and was not even touching the spark plug wire what is going on here ?????

Maybe bad wire or ground. Is the ground wire on by the coil? I might be wrong just guessing.

My cdi box is all I have not replaced brand new but my stater , fly wheel and coil are all new . I have done so much work to this bike it's been powder coated .the rear ends been extended had the motor rebuilt and i can't even ride it .
I unhooked the kill switch wire unhooked the head light power just to maximize spark and everything is mounted in factory spects as far as I know

Oh, No kill switch or light......Make sure all the wires are ok and the ground wire is on the coil. I don't remember if there is a ground wire on the stater but there might be. Sorry that all I can think of now, If I think of some thing ill let you know. Maybe someone else will help also. Do you have any pics? It sounds like your doing a hell of a job.

I took the stater all apart last night and checked all the wires for cracks or wear marks .I found nothing all still in brand new condition I have heard that a hair Line crack will ground out on the frame .

Did you do a ohm test? You didn't have to take it out for that, but it doesn't hurt.
