    1985 Tecate build done.

Just thought I would post some pics of latest project. This site was very helpful, as I knew nothing about the Tecate when I bought it. $100 dollar special, non running pile of crap, basically a Red parts bike. Two years later and all parts purchased off Ebay, I have a very fun bike. Rebuilt forks, shock, master cylinders, bearings, motor...EVERYTHING. I went the KX 250 top end and electronics, flywheel, way. I had never rode Tecate but when I did I wanted it to be as fast as possible. After market pipe (anyone know what it is?) tmx flatside off my Husky. Still waiting for 97 kx flatside( only problem I had with ebay). The thing really moves! Everyone fights over the thing when they come and visit. Woundering if any one has a better solution the the KX head coolant hose routing? Mine is a bit caveman, but it works. Anyone have questions fire away while its still fresh in the head.It was a ton of fun and Im looking forward to doing the next one! It will be much easier the second time around. Looking for next project, have a 300 bigbore jug and 650 jetski piston!
