Well in my experience this could go either way..if is in nice shape and all it truely needs in a carb cleaning then $500 is a rockin' deal..

But sometimes 'needs a throttle cable and a carb cleaning' is code for engine is screwd and sorry you can't hear it running..

The other day I read an add on CL for a 200x that stated..'engine smokes..valve adjustment should clear that right up, just haven't had time'. People will say anything to sell their shlt!!

Let your own 1st impressions guide you..if you pull up to the house and the place is a mess with a bunch of 'projects' in the yard, it isn't looking good.

Then again, I've been in the right place at the right time a couple times..you could too!!

Like Dougs was saying people will do anything to sell there chit To make a quick buck people say one thing and you get there and you see a million things wrong and they say oh I forgot to mention about that stuff so just be careful on what he says look over it make sure it shifts threw all the gears no rust in tank does it have a spark? Stuff like that cause if you don't look at it, take it home try to get it running and find out it needs a bunch of stuff then you have to replace the things it needs make sense?

You would probably never buy anything from me. I hate people trying to beat me up on price just because they think it's there civic duity. I price my stuff to sell and I stand behind it, just can't stand low ballin and I don't do it to other people.

Could agree more..I tell people what's good about my item, what's bad about my item..100% disclosure.

I don't play games with people and bottom line is my price is the price..zero negotiation. That way buyer can decide if it's worth their time to come see my item, this avoids my time being wasted!!

Well maybe its just where i come from. Northern canada trikes are EXPENSIVE. Hard to get a good deal up here. 2 grand for a beat up old 250r!
300 for an 81 250r frame! (also very beaten up.)

If you have OEM fenders, that alone makes it worthwhile.

thats very cheap for a 2nd generation 200X.......

This has been on C-list for $500 for the last couple months. Looks like an 85 though.

My 200x right now needing plastics is worth a minimum of $1200. I paid $700 but rebuilt the front brakes, new clutch, new in the box S&S exhaust, and rebuilt the carb. Just me but I have $300 in the exhaust alone.

I lied..... New PRM Dessert grab bar and rear swinger skid plate. Made mounting brackets because they are a myth on 83-85 200x's. Price jumped to $1500

You've got ants in your pants. 300$ for a S T exhaust?? I always nab em for about 150$

You won't get what you put in it: Get use to that.

Stick with it, this is not a cheap sport! :d ..........
