I believe the commuter was an american made trike made by a small company in iowa. they came in 3 and 5 wheeled versions. they had kawasaki engines and variable speed transmissions like the polaris. the company was bought out by john deere, and deere made the 5 wheeled version called the AMT 600 for a few years before changing to 4 and 6 wheeled versions and renaming it the Gator.

Just stopped in to kearney yesterday. What an amazing collection. Owner was a great guy. I have been wanting to go for years. His newest restore is a kaw police special. His newest complete machine (on display) is a kaw duckster.
