Magnum/RAD 350x bearing carriers any good???

I need a new bearing carrier for my 86 350x and i found a magnum/rad bearing carrier for a 300ex that says will fit the 250x and 86 350x. It has the grease zerk on the side by the chain adjustment for easy servicing which is the main reason i want it. I just want to know if there any good or not?

Why need the grease zerk? 99% of the rear carrier bearings on the market today are sealed bearings, and already have grease in them. There is no way greasing the carrier will reach the bearings, they are sealed, plus you would have to pump in a ton of grease to even think it is helping. Im not saying the carrier isnt good, if its a dual row carrier, it is a huge upgrade over the stock single bearing for the 350x. I would consider it for that over the grease zerk.

The good ones leave the inside seal off the bearings If you have enough sense to USE that nipple for regular maintenance. You're right,,this is the way to go!

yes i do plan on using the grease zerk during regular maintenance ^^so i thought it'd be good.

Yamaha_Rules69 I haven't found a aftermarket carrier yet that didn't have a grease zerk on it some where so if it's there I'm gonna use it. Does it need to be greased i dunno but i get my grease for free and it's not that expensive anyway if i didn't, so i don't give a @#%& lol it makes me feel better using it even if it isn't needed.

I think that when you buy any atv you should invest in stock in the grease industry. Seems like all I ever get done is changing bearings and seals. Hondas seem to be the worst I think my Honda Foreman is about 50% grease. The drum brakes are a sealing nightmare.

But back on subject Yes if you give it a pump or 2 of grease after every few rides you should be golden. Helps push out the moisture and junk that might enter in.

I had a RAD double row carrier on my 300ex years ago. Worked good and wasn't too expensive

I have one, worked well for me. good price, good product. It is more expensive to replace bearings when needed, but they last longer.
