    top speed

    Does anyone know what the top speed is on a 85-350x,mine is in excellent shape motor wise.I ran my 200x with a buddy on a quad ,he had a digital speedo and it toped out at 50 mph on a strait drirt road.Curios

    I never have understood why anyone worries about top speed of anything. If you were looking to make land speed records, then it's important. If you're trail riding, means nothing. If you're drag racing, means nothing. If you're riding the dunes, means nothing. I just don't understand!

    was just curios if someone had actually clocked one to see how fast it goes thats all.

    A stock 350x with stock gearing and rear tire size/profile should top out around 60-65mph.

    i always like to know the top speed just for the sake of knowing.
    drag racing anything is fun!!!

    No problem..

    You can easily get a 350x to break 70mph with some gearing changes. You will lose a little power and acceleration down low, but not drastically.

    Go up 1 tooth on the drive sprocket and that should get you pretty close. If you want a little more you could go 2. If 1 tooth larger on the drive isn't enough but 2 is too much, drop 1 tooth on the rear sprocket to split the difference.

    Different size and profile rear tires effects speed as well. But gearing up with bigger rear tires is more costly and has less desireable side effects.
