    Honest ATC 250r opinions

I want a 85-86 250r, However I have heard that theres just too much power, making them very hard to trail ride. What do you guys think? I can handle one I know that, I race 450 dirtbikes often and other big toys, So should I get one? or get a 350x? Thanks guys, Oh and I normally ride dirt roads and sand pits, so no deep woods riding.

I got a 330 big bore in mine and can lug it at slower speeds if needed, never heats up, dont have to shift no where near as much as stock. IMO the best trail machine.

When I first got her it was all about the sand but I got into the desert back in 88 and she's been a fine trail machine. Kel

A 250R is a great all around bike. As long as you can use a 2 stroke. If your only expirience is with those 450's then i would test ride one first.

One thing i love about a R compared to my Z is how smoothe the engine is. The counter balancer makes such a huge difference. its like being on an electric bike hopping on an R from my Z
