    questions about engine coatings

Im about to send my frame and swingarm out to get powdercoated. I was thinking about getting my engine powdercoated as well. Has anyone had any good or bad results from high heat p.c.? I don't really want to paint it.

the only problem I see with powdering an engine is that it has to be completly torn down

if you are Powder Coating, you gotta ensure that all of the old paint is removed and the surface is spotless. I prefer 120 glass bead or you can use soda, or if you have a lot of time you can hand sand. I would probably by new bearings if you are going to use glass bead or soda. Other than that, make sure you are using a heat resistant powder....any powder guy worth his salt would be able to prep the cases and coat them for you.
