Good luck, I live in southwest MS (on the river) and there is no where to ride. My buddy has about 50 acres, but that takes about 5 minutes to cover and then we hit the gravel roads. Every now and then we'll sneak out on a creek, but that's illegal. Apparently we are messing up the ecosystems. You might ought to check up in Tennessee. Don't know how far you are from the border, but they got to have more spots than MS.

i usually ride gravel roads and a few trails around here but they are getting major boring. there are plenty of places to ride i just dont know where they are. i know here in houston the old rail road has been ripped up and i can ride it for about 80 miles but going in a pretty much straight line is boring as hell too lol.

I used to live in Hattiesburg and they had an old rail road that was part of the Rails to Trails project. It was only for walkers and bikers though. Straight lines are alright with me as long as I can go fast, but I know what you mean.

i like fast sometimes but im more of a laid back type of rider and straight lines get real boring real fast.

If you dont mind the drive there is Copiah Creek http://www.copiahcreekcampground.com/aboutus.html in Copiah County and then there is MS Offroad http://www.msoffroad.com/index.php in Hinds County. And then theres Red Creek Offroad Park http://www.redcreekoffroad.com/ in Perkinston, MS. But the Copiah park is closed till next spring (there only open during spring/summer) and MS offroad is only open certain weekends there posted on the website^.
