I have a wilson cradle type BDA, bi-directional amplifier, in my Jeep with a high gain external antenna on the roof rack, i never go without service. They can be a bit spendy unless you get a deal on one on ebay, i got a brand new in the box unit for like $50.

i live in the middle of nowhere where nothing works.i have a twenty foot mast with a small ant hooked to a "solid signal" repeater/amplifier in the house.works great but you have to be in the house.
