250 lbs of compression on my 85 Tecate! Whats your thoughts?

Hey guy's! I'm running a 85 Tecate, sleeved cylinder, two sizes oversized. stock porting. I sanded the head down on a granite slab with sand paper (Not the proper way I know) and now I've got lots of compression! HA HAHA! the first time I put it together, it was running on pump gas. Needless to say it lasted about 15 minutes, rebuilt it again and been running straight 111 race fuel at 32 or 40:1 mix. It runs very hard, pulls real hard and i now have quite a few miles on it without any problems so far. It's a bugger to start, gotta time it just right or it hurts if she kicks back! just thought I'd share, anybody else running these high compression numbers on any two strokes?

Maybe you should think about running diesel??!! LOL JK...

Last comp check i did on my esr 350 i was a bit north of 210. Running 110 octane with no negative side effects. ESR specifically called for 108 minimum with my build. So i run 2 points higher just to give me a little margin for safety

Wow thats a lot of compression!

I would guess you are giving up some top end power but it probably runs like a four stroke down low. The bigger problem is the kick starters and kick start assemblies are mostly all gone. I would rechamber the head if I were you.

Yeah, for the sake of the motor I'll probly just put a stock head back on or try a stock kawi gasket first (a bit thicker i would guess) and it does have good bottom end and great mid to top, but its a pain to start and i broke one kicker already. it's really not a whole world of difference in power compared to the stock head. but you can tell a decent amount.
