    Hello from Hampstead Md.

What's up? New member but not new to trikes. Love this site and especially love my bikes. I'm a daily rider who restores these puppies in my spare time. It's a labor of love. You should see what I can do to a motor. Look forward to meeting any and all.

    Welcome.

It's extremely rare not to find answers on this board.

Where can you ride in Maryland?

Oh Good question. Maryland is actually a great state cause it has all kinds of land features. From western Maryland there's the Appalachian Mountains. Not quite as high as the Rockies but just as fun. The Blue Ridge mountain State Park has hundreds of thousands of acres available. Unfortunately you have to license your ride and trikes aren't allowed. BASTARDS!!! Mid state where I live is about 1000 ft. Above sea level. Is a lot of forest, hilly, and swamp land. I live outside town. With access to trails that go from crop fields to woods. My father's house is backed up to 400 acres of state property that on any given weekend you find riders. Lots of mudholes. I love to show up on my trike and show the quads just how much we groove better. Then there's the eastern shore lots of flat sandy land. If you go all the way to the coast you'll find beaches and sand dunes. You can get from one side of the state to the other in about 4 hours. Oh forgot to mention the gangs of bikes 2, 3, and 4. That race the streets of the cities Baltimore and D.C. The police aren't allowed to chase cause of an accident in the past that injured and killed an innocent bystander. That's only if you are crazy. It's only getting more conjested with all the new construction in the suburbs and rural areas but I'm still making the best of it. For real though you guys on the west coast have it so much better. Hit me again anytime....

I lived in the manchester/hampstead area for the past 7 or so years, just moved to finksburg with my wife and baby. Nice to meet someone local, maybe we can meet up at greenmount station for some eats some time?

There are plenty of varied topography, but sadly very little legal trike riding in MD. I trailer a lot out to PA and OH.
And that's the rest of the story. ~ Paul Harvey

Sweeet!!!! Right up my alley. I actually clean Greenmounts carpets monthly love the place. In the winter when the crops are down I used to ride up to Greenmount and park by the tracks while I was inside. i live behind Oakmont golf course. Definitely will set a date sometime for that. Finksburg is where my father lives whichever is backed up to the 400 acre state property. Lots of trails. And mud. I can get you in there. His neighbor is always looking for people to ride. I'm new to the site so I'll have to figure out how to PM you. Hit me back. Im on vacation next week. But maybe cancelling it and taking a staycation.
