Polishing stock rims(how hard is it)

I have stock 250sx rims that have the stock grey paint all scratched on them and I was wondering how hard it would be to make them shiny. I was thinking about borrowing this wire brush grinder from work and see if that works. Is there a better way than this. Any advice will be apreciated.
    THANKS

I wouldn't recommend using a wire wheel as it will scratch up the smooth finish and the high rpm's of a mini-grinder would make it easy to take lots of material off your wheel. Dunno how to get the paint off, maybe paint thinner or gas on a rag? I'm gonna polish my already bare alum wheels within the next wk or so and I'll let you know how hard it was and how I did it.
