Why is my 250R clutch getting so hard to pull?

Just installed a new clutch lever and perch! Its so hard to pull back now i almost have to use both hands and im a pretty strong guy lol....

Any ideas what i could do to help free it up some? Do i need a clutch, cables or both? Thanks

Make sure you guide the clutch cable
Correctly if not it will be stiff.

You can post some picture see if we notice
    Anything incorrectly installed...

Is the perch the same ratio as before? Some have the cable attatching point in different places. One of my MSR perches has 3 holes. The middle is supposed to be a stock feel. One is stiffer, and one is lighter. Is it something that changed only as a result of the new perch and lever?

Just a thought, did you over tighten the bolt that holds the lever into the perch? I've done that before...

Disconnect the cable and isolate it. Does the cable move eaisly and freely when its not hooked to anything? Does the lever move freely when there is no cable attached to it? In most cases the cable gums up to cause this. Sometimes you can force WD40 into it to flush it out, and get a little more life out of it.

Also while you have the cable disconnected if it moves freely, check your arm at the case with pair of short pliers on it, it should move fairly easy. Sometimes the needle bearings in the case around the actuator, get gummed up and siezed and bind the clutch arm actuator.
The 250R actually has an upper and lower needle bearing in the case that supports the actuator arm.
Here is where my long useless list of stuff nobody cares about should go...

Here's a thought, does the perch have a different mechanical advantage? what I mean is, does it pull the cable on a sharp angle as soon as it gets pulled? just wondering because it might make a difference..
