    250sx progress

heres some before and after pics still need a few things for it like a front fender i was wondering if anybody knew whether or not a 350x would bolt up to the 200x front end. it won't hardly turn one way there is a piece of metal on the frame hitting the tripple tree i don't know if this is normal for the 200x front end swap.

    ?

It might be all that crack i just smoked (jk) but the forks look like they are backwards to me.. like the actual forks are installed flip flopped. maybe I am wrong though> I think the metal you are hitting is the stoppers for the old tripple trees. They have to hacked off and re welded in different spots to keep from denting you gas tank more.

    looks nice

i like the look it gives the sx,,, just looks better to me. i am certain it will improve the ride a bunch. i had a sx for a year and was just darn near as stiff as my es is now.

i just spent all day in the garage working on my 350x front end,,, it's on correct ATCaddict. i am sure you are right about the stops on the gooseneck though,,,

No, I think you do have the forks on wrong, if I am correct, the 200x front end is suppossed to be a trailing axle, not a leading axle. I dont know if it will affect the handling or anything, but maybe someone else will know.

i don't really know pilot i just looked at your post of yours and your forks where the hub mounts are turned the other way and your brake rotor is on the other side.

Yep, 200x's are trailing axles, you have yours on backwards. The only problem I see in this is that you wheel is further away from underneath the bike, and your turning, and front end traction might suffer, but I do like the extended chopper look it gives it. I guess that a 250R or 350x fender will bolt right up.

Did you make sure all the ball bearings went back in. They all fell out me and i had to use tons of grease to hold them in place when i was doing my switch over. I really don't think you could have tightened it to tight. Yeah i hacksawed off the stopper also and never welded new ones back on. First ride out, dented my can without even knowing till i got back.
