    Who's got a Lifan 200 in their X?

I am looking at getting an engine rebuilt or buying a new engine entirely. Lifan 200 engines are all over eBay and I was wondering if anyone has put one in their 200X? The electric start is appealing to me. A recent foot injury is keeping me from kickstarting bikes easily anymore, at least not forward kick. Would be nice to not have to worry about the engine, so I can start putting money into other things

I personally have no use for Chinese manufactured replacement engines.

There is a guy on EBay who has a quantity of NOS Honda 200s and 200m engines..

I considered an AutoX build and would love to get hold of one of these rare beauties. He does want a tall dollar for them but his phone number is in the listing. If a guy was to contact him by phone with an offer off of eBay and send him a crap engine to get a bit of core value it may turn into a pretty good deal!!

Now as I recall the electric start 'M' engine won't fit into a 200x..I could be wrong. But at least with the 'S' engine you have a pull start to save that poor foot of yours.

I'm not looking for an auto X build, I have no use for semi-automagic engines. And I don't want a pullstart either, too many bad experiences with my arm and pullstart durability

No, but when you chip the bone off of your foot, it takes a lot longer than a month to fully heal up.

Wasnt making fun of your injury, but I just had to throw a masturbation joke in there.

I hope they are of better quality than the 140cc Lifan I have.

I put a 200cc OHV Loncin (same as Lifan) in an 84 X. It was a good runner. I sold it this summer - after getting the 350X running the little X's started collecting dust.

I would do it again in a heartbeat. I paid $180 for near new no name dirtbike donor. The engine almost bolts in but you need to clearance the bottom crossmember for the drain plug. I built my own wire harness and mounts for a TRX400 battery box.

I dig not have a 200X engine core to work with. It would be easier to rebuild your stocker.

But you would not have e-start. I thought e-start was for pussies until I started using it. Spoils you real fast.
