    86' 200x Ignition Coil?

When I attempted to pull the ignition coil Boot from my spark plug today I noticed it came apart like http://www.ebay.com/itm/86-HONDA-ATC...82eaf7&vxp=mtr . Does this mean that my ignition coil is broke or usable? Also it was very hard to pull off and I actually had to unscrew it from the top of the spark plug. Looking at my manual, it looks like there should not be that little thing on the very top of the plug (the thing you would unscrew and discard to expose the threads on the top of the plug) then the boot would go right onto the threads right?

While I'm not 100% sure off the top of my head. Both ends will " unscrew" out of the boots. Trim the wire back a 1/4 inch to fresh wire, and reinstall.
Please help those who cannot help themselves.

ALWAYS buying Museum quality machines,3 and 4 wheels. And any and ALL ,NOS parts,EVERY brand.

    **Update**

I figured out after about 4 seconds of looking at the boot that it actually screws onto the wire. Also, you do take that little thing off the top of the plug to properly insert it into the boot.

Also, how do we update the title so it says update?
