ok people when using a set of propane/acetaline/oxygen torches does anyone know where the regulators should be set and how to adjust for propane i am usign a #1 propane tip and was told 6 psi on the propane and 30 psi on the oxygen?? what do you guys use to cut 1/4-1/2 inch steel?????

one guy asking questions 4 posts about SPELLING???? lame!!!
to answer your question,,, do to cut that thick with propane you might need to go way bigger on the tip size,, propane has very little btu output compared to accetelene... it takes alot longer to use propane,, in production the time is not worth the cost savings!!!

thank you casey, i tried a #2 top today and got my mixes right and it cute well enough for what i am doing , i made a 16 foot car trailer in 7 hours today now just deckign and wiring and then axles and go figure i was doign it before with a stihl ts400 demo saw with metal blades lol

I worked at a metal / machine / weld shop for 3.5, we used propylene. I couldn't tell the difference with that vs acetylene.
