Rotella 1540. I was told it would work fine since it doesn't have a clutch

Actually your Big Red has two clutches. One centrifical clutch and one regular wet clutch. Get the Rotella out of it and replace it with regular ol 10W-30 conventional oil. Be sure to replace the oil filter too.

Yeah dont go to wallmart and buy cheap oil, get to your motorsports place and buy somthing good, no synthetic somthing like maxima or any high quality atv oil. Its worth it in the long run, Ive recked several machines trying to save money on oil.

Ok. Will do. I read alot of ppl use 1040 but 1540 was closest I had at work and was told by buddy that used to work at a bike shop 1540 would be ok. I will definitely swap oil and filter. Don't wanna kill my first trike. Thanks guys.

O boy, there is a reason for a manual, read it follow it if your not sure about anything. and never rely on anyone that you dont trust to tell you what oil to use, your manual is your best friend!
