    Question 1986 Honda Big Red?

First, before I ask my question....I tried to search, but I didn't find my answer, and I just do not have time to look. I got a phone call today from a friend who found a 1986 Big Red for sale. He said it was mint.....So, I went and checked it out and to my surprise it looks like it came out of a time machine. It is slightly used, but well cared for by one owner (Owner has the title and original bill of sale too).

So, how much is a mint 1986 Honda Big Red worth? I know it is only worth what someone is willing to pay for it.....I just want to know what a fair price is for both parties. I'm not into Big Reds so I don't know much about them.

    Thanks!

$1800 in these parts, if it is "mint"
No trikes. Too old, too crippled. Unless I find one I can't live without!

You area may vary from mine by hundreds of dollars.

A 350X can be bought in Michigan for around $1000, then I bring it here to Ontario and can resell for $1800-2000.

There is not direct answer to your question..your location and local market set the prices. Since your profile just says 'USA' we can't even guess!

    What is the seller asking?

I agree 100% - it really depends where you are located. I have a 1987 big red and I'd say its pretty nice and I paid $1,000 for it. The 86's and 87's def are worth a few more bucks. I would pay probably no more than $1,200 for it (and I think $1,200 is a fair price)

Thanks for the feedback guys. I lost out on the deal, someone else scooped it up. The owner said he got $1,800 for it. It was VERY MINT. He had the title, bill of sale, Hondaline cover and a tone of extras. He was an old timer, my father age (Late 60's).....he bought it new. He said he has never used it off of his farm....I believe it too.

    Thanks Again.
