Well she didn't have too big of a hissy fit. Told her it was going to be for sale. Hmmmmmm. No little ones to ride it but it sure is cute. I will get the pull starter put back together and see how it rides. My knees hit the bars. LOL I just think of the guy on laugh-in that rode the tricycle.

Fix it up and ride it, that's what we are doing.

Wasn't that Artie Johnson that rode that bike?

I went out to decode the vin. It is an 85, last year for production if Im not mistaken. It also had the 1985 tag on the side of the trike. That makes it "RARE" like all the ads say? Anyway I need a recoil spring and dogs with springs. That is all that is missing from the recoil. I need to dump the old fuel out and change oil just to freshen things up before I run it. I dont know how long that fuel has been in there. The seller said last fall he was running it around the yard. Long time for fuel to sit. The inside of the tank looks nice and clean as well. Seems to have very good compression. May need a plug wire. the insulator at the plug is missing part of it. So far, very pleased with the trike.

Rare? No... of the 6 70's I have had, 5 of them were '85's, but you scored big time on a nice one! Put some taller bars on it and run it... if you do, you'll never sell it.

I was kidding on the rare comment. Seems everone on cl seems to ad that the trike they are selling is "rare".

Some I see are priced over what they would have cost new. Yes they are "clasics", but not to the point that it justifies some prices that are asked. Like my daughter said once, "they have to have class to be a clasic, otherwise its just ick".
