    But it's not a huge difference, and if you ride in any kind of wet conditions at all it's not worth the trouble. Engines don't like their fuel/air mix with a shot of water.... Great for dunes and dry condtitions though!

    What I have done is kind of a blend of both approaches.... I removed the snorkel pipe that connects the airbox to the main frame backbone. While it does pose a little more risk of water ingestion, it does open up the airflow alot while providing most of the protection of running the full airbox. Had to jet up 2 sizes when I removed that snorkel pipe.

    That might be a better alternative for you if you want better airflow without running a full airbox eliminator setup.

    really? i didnt know that i thought the engine just breathes beter...but it would efect jetting right

    I was a world of difference on mine just taking the air box lid off..

    Really not hard at all if you are mechanically able.
