man this site has really lost its traction, and draw if u ask me. really sucks that this is the shining example for 3 wheelers...

i go on here and check things out and will continue to, but slowly and surely becoming less and less of a user that gives any feedback or answers anything or posts at all.

Bill, I think that towel is supposed to be the cover "tarp" for the Tri-Z. I remember in Andy's 250r auction that he had mentioned something about a oil or preservative that was supposed to prevent rust while they transported the bikes on boats across the ocean so salt wouldn't affect them, in a way you would be taking away from it's original crated condition if you would clean off that oil/preservative, even though dust did get caught up into it.

Also, something else to consider is that over a million 3 wheelers were made and all of them were shipped in the "crate" so it's not that unlikely that there are a few hundred or even a thousand(or maybe even just the double digits as opposed to the 2-3 that are currently known) still out there. Seeing that Kawasaki uncrated an 87 Tecate, they may still have many left as well as the other big 3. Collectors may have a few, there may be some in old dealerships, warehouses, storage units, truck trailers, freights, or even in a sunken boat, but if no pics are shared or if the owner doesn't make it public then it still remains unknown.

I'm not trying to stir up a hornets nest on here, but you can't rule out the possibilities, If I remember right Mike at VMS posted something on here about 2 us90's still in the crates, but the owner refused to sell them.

Yes,,All new machines,,even Chinese 2 hour throw aways,,come with a very nice ' grease" sprayed all over them. I have went for up to 2 years on my Brothers and Dads Quads without disturbing the grease on the rims. Pressure wash,,but no washing or wiping. I 'm chasing a monumental find at the moment. Will probably come up dry,,but I won't know until I have tried. It's HUGE : )
Please help those who cannot help themselves.

ALWAYS buying Museum quality machines,3 and 4 wheels. And any and ALL ,NOS parts,EVERY brand.

I am turning my PM's Off,my Email is billsracing@hotmail.com,put 3WW in the subject. Thanx!

Lol,,sort of.. I just took a BIG hit in the gut,,that what I seek is long gone,,,3 years ago. But I'm not giving up till I've looked down the horses throat. Then I'll spill the beans.
