    shifter

    hi i have been looking into buying a new shift lever for my 83 atc 250r does anyone know if a 1985 shifter will work on it?

    No it won't..only the 83-84 shifter will work, and I've never seen an aftermarket one for it either. I would be possible to find a different shisfter with good splines, and then weld your original shifter to that....
