I think the seller needs to check their spelling better before submitting the ad.

The atc250r was meant to have 3 tires. Its more of a challenge to ride this way. and thats why its fun. besides, why would you want all that extra weight in the front? i say someone should buy it and fix it . thats just my opinion

Why would you spend all the time and money converting it to a quad, when you can just go out and buy a TRX250r??

Lack of funds would be my first guess... or maybe they just wanted to...

I think it looks pretty good, definitely looks like it has been taken care of..
    Rides:
1986 ATC250R (sectional pipe and Klemm Research silencer)
1986 ATC250R (Desert Bike, WAX-ON seat, Dual Cibie lights, Steering Stabilizer)
1979 ATC110 (Bandito frame and forks, Turbo wheels, disc braked)
    1982 ATC70 (Lifan manual 125)
    1987 LT80 (piped, widened)

its pretty clean for 30 years old. id honestly buy it, park it in garage. there was a memeber on here who had a lt230s front end on to race back in the day. if you got $1000 id offer it to him

its different, i think anything rare is cool.
but if you are a 3 wheel fan i can see why its a waist. i wish he had pics of it from the front?
    SIX US90s & a few aftermarket parts ;-)

of all the quad conversions out there, most look really really goofy

this one is the best looking of all that ive seen from the era, IMO. this is the only first gen ive seen with the astro kit
