    My 1985 Tri Z project

    Dudes.
Hey as soon as i can get my pictures posted on here i will attach some pictures of my 85 Tri Z. How do you put get them to a smaller form? everytime it says my pictures are too big for the attachment, they are in JPEG form too...... anyways...

My 1985 Tri Z is Yellow and Black. I picked up the bike when it was in pieces pretty much. The piston is brand new (stock bore). The cylinder head was shipped to Wiesco and done there. The engine has new crank seals and i put in a new water pump o ring, clutch cable(s), throttle cable(s). And lots of cleaning too.

I installed a 1997 Warrior shock that i picked up from my local Yamaha dealer for $40.00. This is my winter project, but it is pretty much about 50% done, the plastic is rough but good enough to use for getting it running purposes.

I can email anyone that wants too see my pictures, send me a email at trg19762003@yahoo.com if my i cant get my pics posted on this topic.

    If anyone has:
    1. Rear caliper
    2. Yellow Air Scoops
    3. Rear gold rim (1)
    4. Exhaust system ...stock or aftermarket

    Contact me......thanks

As quoted from Dirt Wheels magazine, 1986 performance 2-stroke 250cc shootout edition, "The Tri-Z's sound is strangled. A quick peek at the rear of the bike reveals a trashcan sized silencer."

It was just a funny quote that has stuck with me for over 17 years now, but I do believe that Dirt Wheels was spot on with their description of the Tri-Z's silencer/spark arrestor.
